Casa Villa Scozilia
Casa Scozilia was built in 1968 surrounded by a luxuriant botanic garden. This bucolic spot, built by a Scottish man who desired to recreate his native country in Sicily, has now become legend.
The architectural style of the house is definitely Scottish but the material employed, such as lava stone and terra cotta, is typically Sicilian.
The pool offers a breathtaking view of the Ionian coast, from Taormina till the further Riposto. And looking at the inland instead, the Iblei mountains can be seen spreading up towards the West.
The unique beauty of Sicily
«Without Sicily, Italy leaves no image in the soul. Sicily is the key to everything.
The purity of the contours, the softness of everything, the yielding reciprocity of the colours, the harmonious union of the sky with the sea and the sea with the earth…
Those who have seen them once, will possess them for their entire lives»

We have just returned from a wonderful stay at Villa Scozilia. It is hard to fault both the warm welcome from our lovely host Sabrina, and the place itself. The gardens are beautiful and so well kept, the pool large, very well appointed and always immaculate [...] Great facilities for sporty kids too with an excellent tennis court, table tennis, boules etc.
What a wonderful host and incredible home! We rented the big villa for 8 people and it was amazing. Very spacious, comfortable, impeccably clean and fully equipped. The property was beautiful with amazing views onto Taormina, the sea and Calabria. The pool was large and fabulous with comfortable chairs. [...] We hope to come again.
Utterly superb week at Villa Scozilia - this place is absolutely stunning. The house is charming and comfortable with a tennis court and a pool that befits a five star hotel. The gardens are beautifully kept with donkeys and chickens (which our children loved) with great use of spaces in which you can relax or eat. [...] Scozilia is truly a quality experience and one in which Sicilian hospitality and style are experienced with grace and refinement.
